PROLIFICA clinical activities

Each participant tested positive for viral hepatitis is systematically referred to our liver clinic. Patients have a comprehensive liver assessment including physical examination, liver ultrasound, Fibroscan and blood tests. The clinical assessment is performed by well trained nurses and doctors in liver diseases.

When needed we perform liver biopsy; however this procedure is difficult to perform in Africa; therefore we have developped alternatives to assess the severity of the liver disease, using simple blood tests.
