Studies Professor Elijah Songok (MD, MSC, PhD)

Elijah Songok is Professor of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at University of Nairobi (Kenya). He is also the Chief Research Officer and Head of Graduate School, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI). He is particularly interested in the fight against viral hepatitis in Kenya and he has contributed to a HCV screening intervention in people who inject drugs in Mombassa (Kenya) as part of the PROLIFICA platform.

 

Studies Dr Rajiv Shah (BMBS, BMedSci, MRCP, MSc, DTMH)

Rajiv Shah is a specialist Registrar in Infectious Diseases (Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust), Clinical Research Fellow (The University of Nottingham). His research Interests focus on viral hepatitis in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr Shah spent one year in Mombassa (Kenya) to collect data on HCV in people who inject drugs (manuscript in preparation).
